Posted by JayKae on Sunday, January 04 @ 06:39:06 EST
Orbx is pleased to announce the immediate availability of FTX YPJT Jandakot Airport. Jandakot is one of Australia"s busiest regional airports in terms of flight movements, and the Orbx version has been faithfully reproduced down to the last gable marker. Made using 25cm/pixel licensed aerial photography from the Western Australian government, and superbly modeled airport buildings made using photos taken on-site, this airport will be a delight to use as your hub for your western GA flights. The scenery includes most major VFR approach and circuit waypoints and encompasses well over 50 square kilometres of photoreal scenery with seasonal variations and night lighting. The airport also includes accurate custom GA AI aircraft with custom paints and flight plans. Jandakot is the culmination of over two years of development by Jarrad Marshall and more recently in collaboration with the Orbx team. Orbx is pleased to announce the immediate availability of YWVA Warnervale Airport. This the first in Orbx"s series of smaller GA airfields for FSX with lots of character. Nestled in bushland just off the Pacific Highway on the Central Coast of New South Wales, this airfield provides a perfect hub for VFR flights north of Sydney and up to Coffs Harbour.

OZx (pronounced Aussie-X) is the collaboration of scenery designers that began life under the auspices of the FTX Freeware Development Team. The invigoration of a new name and our own dedicated site means we are able to develop and refine our skills and techniques in an environment that is removed from those intense pressures associated with commercial scenery releases. However, as a group, we still remain committed to the success of the OrbX Full Terrain eXperience ideals, and as such we will be doing our utmost to ensure the scenery we release will install without conflict and blend properly into FTX. The scenery can be download via our download section.

WilcoPub has just announced the release of the Tiltrotor, they write: "...Tilt Rotor is poised to revolutionize the way we fly. By combining the speed, altitude, and comfort of a turboprop with the vertical takeoff and landing capabilities of a helicopter, we can enjoy the best of both worlds.
No longer will airstrips and airports be necessary for high flying executive travel.
Full-size, fixed-wing aircraft capacity means more space for special functions like short-haul airline work, medical evacutations, military payloads and much more, with the convenience of VTOL helicopter operation or VSTOL in tight corners!
With an operational ceiling of 25,000 ft., this versatile aircraft will fly in icing conditions and extreme climates, from the Arctic to the desert with a range of 750 nautical miles and cruising speeds of 275 knots.
Transition from vertical to conventional flight is a breeze in this aeroplane and the on-board systems all combine to make life easier for the pilot under extreme conditions..." For more information please visit the WilcoPub homepage.
